50 minutes, I've completed images with less time in total exposure!!!!!!!

You really like to push the boundaries, don't you!

:rofl::rofl:Oh yeh i just love it :P
Ps this was in a fairly empty spot in Sculptor (whatever you can call empty there).
In the sky it didnt show any galaxies so i dont know what those galaxies are.
Will plate solve a bit later.

Fred this is with the ED80 and the viewfinder guider.

OK, well impressive anyway Martin, very impressive for 50mins.

I have to ask, did you muck about with the EQ6, or is this guiding performance out of the box?.

Thats an amazing performance from the EQ6, I have had 30min subs with mine but that is with a 14" Newt but 50mins must be a record. The EQ6 is a fantastic mount for the money so can't wait to see more from you.

John.

 Me and not mucking around with equipment
I fitted some new bearings and lapped the worm and used good grease.
Then the adjustments of the worm.
Now it spins and sounds like a small Lambourghini

30 Minutes with an 14" newt must be a record too
I think i can go much longer than 50 Minutes.
Will test it at SV camp on some super clusters of galaxies.

So why did I spend twice as much on a Losmandy that doesn't come close to this performance? Live and learn I guess. Nice image.

That's an impressive amount of time, you would have to be choosy about what you imaged at that length of time, good for those uncharted sections of sky

Thank you Geoff
I still want a G11 instead of the EQ6.
They are still a wonderfull mount.

Yes i want to image some super clusters at an even longer time.
I had to throw out one image where seven sattelite trails went through :eyepop:

Thank you for the kind words sir :)

Top results Martin

My EQ6 Mount gets similar results, but Houghy had it Turbo-charged by Roger at Bintel Melbourne :)

Now you'll have to set up shop and charge to Turbo everyone's EQ6's, coz I don't think Roger does them any more ;)

Thanks mate
Nooooooo!!!! I am not patient enough to do other mounts
It is too tedious and then you have to test the performance on a clear night ;)
