This 6" f10 has very nice optics indeed, but I have too many scopes and am feeling guilty - the Eta Carina photo was taken with a colour DSI III.

OTA, finder, diagonal and eyepiece all in great condition.

Couple of questions:

a) Postage to Melbourne roughly?
b) I'm new to OTAs. Does this scope have Vixen dovetail standard, and can you suggest a "standard" good alt-az mount would suit this OTA (my most accessible supplier is Bintel - I'm thinking Bintel Sky View II Alt Az Moun).

I'm looking for the casual visual "grab and go" that is much harder with my 12" dob.

I recon I can get it down to Melbourne for about 30 bucks. I'm amazed how cheap it is now!

I found this mount: http://www.firstlightoptics.com/proddetail.php?prod=sw_az4 which is $299 at Andrews optics and claims to be able to handle the weight. Couldn't find any more info about the Bintel generic brand, but give them a ring.

And yes, it's a standard dovetail.

Actually, I like the look of that skywatcher alt az for a garb and go...
