Just thought I'd share with you a little gadget I bought of eBay for $<20 (no affiliation, blah, blah, blah).
Link (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nikon-Lens-Canon-1000D-7D-5D-1D-Mark-II-500D-adapter-/260660159345?pt=AU_Cameras_Photogra phic_Accessories&hash=item3cb08e6371#ht_4879wt_913)
It lets you put a Nikon lens onto a Canon body. I have Nikon gear, but bought a Canon DSLR for astroimaging as there is more software and more experience modifying these cameras.
Now I can use my Nikkor lenses for widefields. It doesn't work with lenses that don't have an aperture ring (they will be stopped down to their minimum aperture) and autofocus won't work - it's essentially like putting a Canon body onto a T-adaptor.
Took about over 2 weeks to arrive.
