A couple of good nights' observing there Paul. Some very nice PNs and GCs. I quite like IC 5148 to observe but I reckon "spare tyre" is a rather ordinary name for it. And Kron 3 is a little cutie of a cluster. And again, well done on Triton.

Thanks.
IC5148 is underrated. Observe with anything over 12 inches of aperture and it's a real winner.
Jones 1 was the challenge. I didn't mention that I also had a look for Menzel 3, but somehow I could not confirm the field. Didn't spend too much time on it. I have observed Menzel 3 before.

I actually like the name "spare tyre"....as it really does look like a spare tyre
I've seen it once with my old 12", but have yet to observe it with the new scope.

Well, I grant that it looks like a tyre. But how do we know it's a spare? :)
