This is my final image for a few weeks, as I am President of the Advanced Imaging Conference, Inc and the conference is only about 5 weeks away. So I will be to busy to process images :(

This is a 6 filter image of an amazing star forming region IC1795 and NGC896. There are many layers of silhouetting dust overlaying the energetic areas creating a cavern-like shell. To me, the central dust structure looks a lot like a tornado or dust devil spinning its funnel.

If you zoom in and pan around you will see many interesting formations carved out by the intense stellar winds.

Love the Zoomify show, the central dust arc does look like a twister and I never noticed this before. Some stars do have blue halo around is this because its a very blue nebula?

No the halos are about the stars themselves - If you push your data hard enough you will find some bright stars with halos. I could remove them but I like the color they add to the star. Some stars get so blown out that the only color is at the edges and halos.

I particularly like the color of the orange stars mingled in amongst the bright blue/white stars.
