Hi to all

The weather and other issues haven't allowed me to do much imaging recently but I managed to get this one done over the last week or so. The subject is the Grus planetary nebula IC 5148/50 which is rarely imaged for some reason. Hope you like it.

So that's what it looks like in colour :). I have a mono of it in a comet 6P_d'arrest thead (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=36455), but that looks great.

It is a shame its not imaged more often Steve. Its a nice size object for moderate length scopes.

Excellent! Very clean and pleasing image. For some reason I always thought this object was white.

Beautiful Steve!

What sort of focal length was that taken at?

Thanks for the comments everyone. Rob, it's a 31.75cm Ritchey Chretien at F9 so the focal length is 2858mm.

Cheers

Steve

Thanks Steve - that would explain why we almost never see images of it, let alone to this calibre!
