Fascinating!
The star is also known as LL Pegasi. To get some comparative magnitudes, the bright star to its right has apparent magnitude 12.75, the one directly above it has apparent magnitude 18.35 (from wikisky).
Amazing pickup if they think the spiral is just lit up by starlight.
