The HX516 is a 16 bit cooled monochrome camera with a Sony ICX084AL chip. It has 658 x 494 pixels, (4.9 x 3.6mm), which are 7.4 microns square. Very low dark current.
This camera is a parallel port device and comes with the original Starlight Xpress software, power supply (240V and 12V), port accelerator, all cables and original instructions. Camera can be run by other software eg: Astroart and a USB to parallel adapter is available from Starlight Xpress (not included).
Also included is a 1.25" nosepiece, T thread adapter and Olympus OM lens adapter allowing the use of OM lenses. There is also a True Technology 1.25" filter holder which allows the simple use of filters, (filters not included).
The camera has a hot pixel which results in a vertical line in the downloaded image but this is removed by dark frame subtraction. See attached 5 min dark frame (stretched) at 20 degrees ambient temp.
