Hello Everyone,

Just thought I'd share with you all that I've found some very good books at my local Lifeline Book Shop. Granted that most of them are quite old and the information in them has been updated, they are great for cloudy nights when you need an astro fix :)

Titles like "Travellers in Space and Time" by Sir Patrick Moore (a mind's journey from our Sun to the edge of the Universe, absolutely brilliant), and "The Mysterious Universe" by Nigel Henbest (covering everything from the Big Bang to the Tunguska Meteor to Quasars, Pulsars, Black Holes and everything in between).

I do have a few others, and have not paid more than $3 per book, Yes some of them are showing their age but others are practically unread. Plus it all helps fund the Lifeline telephone counselling service which is a bonus.

Happy Hunting,

Ben.

Wow, $3 for an astro book - now that's really cheap! It sounds like they have a fairly good range of astro books there - good find Ben.

A very good find, and not just for astro books. My wife is fast gathering a collection of Danielle Steel books that is going to overtake my astro book collection!

What really shocked me was the sign above the counter that asked people not to haggle on the price of the books as they are already "more than fair".... some people......

Yep, I also check out St Vinnie/Endeavour etc for cheap Astro books, but yet to become lucky, but will keep trying. :)
