In former years I would have just gone to bed rather than image through cloud. However given the poor seeing conditions available this season I will attempt to image when the seeing looks ok. Another fairly average looking Jupiter image but out there all the same.

still hard to get used to without the other band - nice given your conditions
Nice work Paul, good to see some images coming from down your way - this is better than anything from here last night by miles.

Thanks guys, I can only hope for some stable conditions in the coming weeks. Would love to get some nice seeing. See what the gods will give up though.
Anthony, that says a lot about the spot. Awesome to awefull all in a matter of a week or so.
Yup, jetstream.
The lower atmosphere here seems totally stable every night around 1am, and the seeing is then dominated by the stratospheric conditions. If there is no jet then the seeing is awesome.

Good job Paul sounds pretty much like the conditions I had on the previous night.
Stick with it.

Nice work Paul. You guys set such a high standard that average looks pretty good.
