Hi All

Im still waiting on my 25x80 bino's (hopefully this week) but silly me, when i ordered them i also paid $50 for a camera mount thinking it was for binoculars but found out its actually meant for monoculars or telescopes.

Here is what i bought http://www.ozscopes.com.au/universal-digital-camera-adaptor-large-saxon.html

Is there any way i could use this and mount it to the bino's for pics of the moon etc??

I have heard of people using bino's for AP and im sure they wouldnt turn out aswell as using a telescope but saves me wasting $50 or i guess i could sell the new mount on ebay and get some money back :)

P.S i have a Canon film SLR EOS 500N and just bought a Lumix DMC-FH20 which has an option to leave the shutter open for i think 10/30 or 60 seconds.

Could be a bit of a challenge
I have seen a Baader micro stage clamped up to some Fujinion 10 x 70's
Sort of worked.
Was on an old EQ mount
I will follow this with interest

Thanks for the reply Geoff

I will hopefully have them this week so will try a few things with the mount and see how i go.

Just a little off topic, knowing alot if not most are anti zoom when it comes to bino's should i perhaps not use the zoom feature on mine once i get them and just keep it at 25x ??

I am just worried after reading up about collimation when using zoom and that over time it can be a problem.

Just wish AOE had of been open i would of just bought their 20x80.

Im just getting worried that i have wasted $229 on these and they will be no good.
