Hi All,
Imaged Jup this morning over a 2 1/2 hr session in fair seeing.
Captured 4 RGB's & 5 IR 807nm images. Have attached 8 of them.
Of interest is a triple transit.
Io transit, Io's shadow transit & a shadow transit of Ganymede.
Thanks for looking
Regards
Trevor

Thanks for the wonderful views Trevor. Nice and calm down here, but unfortunately with 100% cloud. All the best.

A very nice set of images on an interesting night, really like the IR for fine detail. You are imaging at near 10meters so how long do you spend taking each channel RGB, and how long on the IR, as I am hoping to develop my planetary skills. Is this 16bit or 8bit with Flea3.
Sorry for the questions but would love to reach that standard.
John.

Hi Trevor
Great images - never get tired of the transits! The triple is cool!
Good stuff Trev, thanks for all these images!

Thanks Tony.
Thanks Lester, hope you get a change over the next few days.
Thanks Michaell, this was a pretty ordinary data set but things look like getting better in the near future.
Thanks Stephen, reckon the shadows look a bit like eyes, it was the high light of this session for me.
Thanks John, the data set from Aug 28th I am about to post is much better. This data set and the set I am about to post from Aug 28th are 16bit FIT files, for my 807nm IR captures I run at 25 fps for 60 sec's while for my RGB data I run at 50 fps for 50 sec's per channel. I like to fill my histo to 85%, hope this is of interest.
Thanks Matt, the transits actually are of considerable help with the focus of the scope as well.
Thanks Bird, hey, I am lining up for my 4th straight night of imaging and each night, thus far, the seeing has got a little better.

Yes, it was a shame about the seeing.
I remember the first double transit I ever captured. The seeing was about 3/10. It was a shocking final image, you could just make out both shadows, and oh boy was I pleased. LOL
