The data was collected with a Canon 5D MII and an FSQ106.

Wonderful data as usual Hiro. The very faint blue reflection nebulae have come up superbly. Collecting data at 11,000 ft really helps as there is less atmospheric extinction.

I took the liberty of making a HDR with your dark and bright frame jpg's.

Yep stunning. amazing what can be done with small aperture ,CMOS and 11,000 ft away from sea level. The lack of H2O in the air must really help infra-red capture.

What do we have to do to get a few feet in altitude!!!!

Pity there aren't a few plots of land for sale on top of these peaks and high plateaus, but the rush to get one would be amazing if there were!!!.

That's a great shot. All the subtle variations in the milky way background stars colors from gold to blue through red are awesome.

What a wonderfull shot and amazing processing. In September I'm going to Hawaii on a teacher professional development and will be visiting the Gemini Telescope and then drop to 3000m for an evening of observing through telescopes supplied from an observatory. I would love to have a go at imaging at this height but cannot see it happening. Beautiful shot.
