Personally I would have tinted the second moon red and tagged it as Mars.

OK competition time.
The first person to photograph this phenomenon will get an empty can of XXXXXXXXX beer.
Go for it.

aye, I'm highly disappointed at the quality of the editing.

Yet, people will still believe.
I swear, I'm going to HAVE to start up a dooms day cult to help finance my Astronomy habits.

A quite ....ahh..... interesting selection of 'news'. I was surprised that George W is gay and that Megan Fox is a man. But I was quite amazed by Heidi Montag. After looking at her 'predicament' I've also had second thoughts - in fact I'm up to about my fourth or fifth thought right now. ;)

Busby!! It always happens in the western suburbs of Sydney! Is this second moon perhaps just an AFL promotion for their new side. I'll blow up the photo and see if I can see the AFL logo on that second moon....:)

I wonder if this is co-insiding with Moon Jupiter conjuntion - http://www.spaceweather.com/images2010/26aug10/skymap_north.gif?PHPSESSID=kt5a4pq0 tch81prms8pcd7hps1

Still a hoax though

With Mars close encounter being the apparent diameter of the moon I reckon it's gonna be bloody crowded up there. Better write that night off for any astro-photo work. :P

I would love a second Moon, though certainly would play havoc with the tides!! :help: As long as it rose not long after our Moon, so we still have some New Moon viewing. :astron:
In scifi movies there are ofter 2-3 Beautiful moon in the night sky, and looks stunning!! have always loved that look, and wanna live there (in my dreams of course). ;)

the quality of the other stories says it all too like "stevie ray vaughn seen at the crossroads" and george bush "i'm gay" in fact the only beleivable one is "osama bed linnen (sic) works at CIA!"

And Busby is a small suburb in Western Sydney? I wonder if the neighbouring suburbs had the same sight?
