Nice time of year. A couple of snaps on the mobile phone camera. It's great when the wattle blooms.
But I wonder where are all the insects, that the tree needs. If I were a bee or a bug, I'd be tucked up home in bed - its cold and blustery out there!

I can't wait for all the bugs to start coming out again! I am itching to use my new macro lens and flashes!
Love wattles. It's the start of a new season Eric.

I'm going to start sneezing soon
Very nice indeed Eric - at least we do get wattle blooming up here.
Is the second wattle the floral emblem for .... Victoria? May need Paul to answer that one. ;)

This here is the Wattle
The emblem of our land
You can stick it in a bottle
Or hold it in your hand.

I'm with you on this one Dave.
Pretty to look at, but not for long - my eyes start watering and then my eyelids swell up! Thank god for Telfast.

'fraid not Liz. Its the Australian flower and that's all. You can find the others here

And yes the Brisbane wattles (Acacia fimbriata) have just finished flowering their heads off here and the Acacia floribunda are about to start. Lovely time of the year
Nice pictures Eric.
Our wattles are just starting to flower now, we always seem to be a few weeks behind in the seasons.
Cheers
