I Tunes Help Please

Hi Guys, can some one here pleas help me with Itunes.

I downloaded the free download, then tried to open the Itunes store, but it tells me that there is no internet connection, :shrug: but there must be as i would not be able to talk to you guys. :question:

I bought a $30.00 card from the post office and on the card it tells me to open Itunes, click on the Itunes store and click redeem, enter the code and go for it.

However I just can't get past the error message it tells me as soon as I click on the Itunes desktop icon.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Leon,

Did you download the Mac or Windows version?
Check the system requirements at the Apple website.
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
The bottom left of the page has an option for the Windows version.

Does the program open at all? If not, try downloading the program again.
If it opens but won't connect to the iTunes store, try typing "internet connection" under the help menu. It will give you some things to check through.

Hello Leon,

iTunes can be funny with proxy settings.

Try opening the LAN settings (Control Panel > Internet Options, on this menu select the Connections tab and then click the LAN settings button) and untick the proxy settings box.

See if that helps.
