Got up this morning and shot Jupiter with GRS, much better exposure settings, but once again seeing defeated me, not cold enough to get a really stable image. Focus was good and Paul R (1 Ponders) will be glad to know that I have used the triangle version of the hartman mask.

details are 747 frames stacked and processed in Registax3, asta image and photoshop despeckle. This shot was reduced from 640 resolution to 480. Just thought the grainy structure looked a lot better. Wavelets were in gaussian in registax instead of default, due to the over processed look that the default produced.

Anyway comments are most welcome.:D

And the another taken under 320 resolution. This one is a bit small though.

Incidently, I used Jupiter 2 to predict the position of the GRS and was obviously successful

Looks like you're getting more detail now Paul, good one. Have you tried to reduce the blue cast using the blue colourweight slider in the histogram dialogue box in wavelets.

Paul, I tend to find at the moment the settings I've used for Jupiter and Saturn are faily similar. This is a screen dump of my last processing of my first Jupiter Avi. And below that is a still from the original avi. Hope they help

Great shot, colour is excellent in the first shot.
I was planning a GRS session this morning too, but alas the clouds didn't want me to.
