View Full Version here: : Info page from Damian Peach
Just came across this page, the thing I noticed is that he says that a temperature difference of 0.5C will cause visible problems from thermal effects. I can say from first hand that this is correct but this is the first time I've found someone else saying the same thing :-)

Thanks Anthony.
It's amazing what a slight difference in temp makes.

Cheers Bird! There's some excellent reading here. It's a pity he hasn't actually tried to simulate temp effects as he has most other factors.
Did you see the Saturn pic on jis home page C14 and Lumenera - I swear the Hubble would struggle to equal it :P
cheers,
Yes, Damian is producing some stunning images, helps that he has Saturn high ovehead at his latitude as well :-)

Thanks Bird very informative. There is a Solar observatory somewhere in the US?in the middle of a large lake to minimise solar radiation causing air currents. I vaguely remember reading about it many years ago.
