Hi Guy's

Hope you all had a great Xmas!!

I've been trying for this shot for about a year and a half. Trying
to finish a phase series I have been working on. But had to wait
for it to swing into the right place (in between trees stands) and
with no cloud. So I finally managed to get it albeit a lil error here
and there.

8" f/6 newt, the one and only LPI

1 composite of 4 x 20 exp's @ ? seconds, stacked, aligned, merged
in photoshop

Great shot Rob:thumbsup: I can't remember, can the LPI take darks? If it can you might find it handy for removing some of those black "spots". Unless of coarse they are dust spots on the chip. They look too sharp for that though :confuse3:

Thanks for looking guy's

John, I will do soon, once complied into an image a rather large image 14,000 x 2200.
I'm not looking forward to the final processing job on that one lol

Paul, Darks were used as always. I think you will find those black spots are actually
craters, I like to highlight them

Tony, sorry dewd I cant remember, but a figure of .026 seconds does seem familar
but I wasn't sure it could of been .024 so I didn't include it

Here's a link to a high res version. might be a better look than the one posted.
The black spots Paul has mention dont look so much like imaging artifacts

I see what you mean Rob. They look more like high contrast shadows from surface freatures.
