Rod, I believe that Orion have a special on Stratus EP's, in the US at the moment. May be worth checking with a US dealer if something doesn't turn up.

Thanks for that Phil. What is your experience of ordering from the US? I have found a site that sells them for $US20 less than RRP, but the offer is only available to north americans.

Bintel have emailed me to say they can order one in for me, but second hand price is preferable!

Just to complete the loop, I have now ordered a 17mm Stratus from Bintel. Yes, that's right, Bintel. Given that they sell other Orion lines, I asked if they could get in a Stratus for me, and Don very obligingly agreed.

I worked out that from the US it would be about AUD155-160 plus postage. Don agreed to supply to me for AUD179. I'd rather support local suppliers, and I reckon that price was as good or better than from OS would have been.

I'll let you know how it performs.

Janoskiss got a 13mm Orion Stratus, and sold his 13mm Nagler! It's always a matter of matching Ep to scope, though, so not sure how it would perform in your scope, or mine for that matter! :P

I have been thinking about a 13mm myself for the 10" GS dob. Just sold my 15mm Expanse clone as the mag is just too close to my 20mm Widescan III. Looking out for a second on Astromart.

Darren, I was looking for a while. They are just not coming up at the moment on Astromart. Either they are too new, or perhaps everyone is happy with theirs?
