Hi All,
What an excellent setting for a star party, great facilities and heaps of room to cater for camping, visual observing and imaging.
This was my first Astofest, and I thank Tony for the invitation.
It was a long drive 3,700km round trip. Took 3 days to get there, arriving the first Friday about midday. Was only there for about 10 min's and run into JJJ, Houghy and IPonders. Missed most of the first nights observing, was knackered from the trip, must be getting old(er)
Had a good roll up for my presentation Saturday and it was a top night Saturday night observing with several different scopes, everyone I ran into were only too pleased to let me have a look through there scope's.
Headed off on the return trip Sunday via the AAT.
If only the Astrofest was closer to me, I would be a regular.
Have attached a selection of my photo's from the trip, it was really great to be among such a friendly group of fellow amateurs.
Regards
Trevor
