Hi All, it's been at least 2days since I imaged Mars (did you miss me :P ) and I've just got the new Kendrick dew heater controller and Astrozap combined dewshield/dewzapper in the mail (more on those in a later post) so a good excuse to take the C9.25 out for a spin. Still hoping to follow Mars down into the single digit arc sec range to see if it might still yield some surprises - it's around 12" at the mo'. A few more day should bring Solis Lacus (the eye of Mars) back into view, but at present it's the "dull side" on show.

Seeing was mediocre but not terrible.

Used the 3x barlow and ext tube to get useful image scale - no resampling. Here it is for what it's worth. Some artefacts picked up in the LR deconvolution processing, but the extra detail it provided was worth it.

Cheers,

Thanks for the comments guys. I've attached another process of a slighty later avi for the same evening, but this one taken through the 2.5xpowermate and resampled up. Once again I can't get as much detail through this combo as I can using the cheapy 3x barlow and extension tube with no resampling. One more score for image scale :P

cheers,
