Thanks for posting jjj. Was great to meet a lot of people in person!

Was a long way up to get to the eyepiece on that 30" Dob, but the views were well worth it :)

Got up there yesterday afternoon intending to do some astrophotography in the evening and comet sweep in the morning. Peter Marples asked me if I had enough dew prevention in place, to which I replied yes as I had never had a problem...unfortunately by 1am the corrector plate had fogged up..:mad2:..oh well next year.

It was terrific to catch up with everyone.
But I'd also like to sincerely apologise to those I didn't say hello to and should have. I feel quite guilty about that.
I'll be posting more photo's soon.

Yer welcome Peter.
Wish I could have spent some time having a look see. It's been years since I've looked through your scope. But I just don't "do" ladders any more.

My thoughts exactly, great snaps JJJ, lots of happy campers there, I'm still struggling to understand how time can go so quickly, perhaps there's a time warp at Duckadang :P .

Hi JJJ,

Thanks for posting these great snapshots.

We had hoped to get up there again this year but unfortunately could not
make it. Hope everyone had a great time and we look forward to catching
up with our friends at Duckadang in the near future.

Best regards

A very nice photographic record of a very special and most enjoyable event Jeanette.

We had room in Bailey House and it was excellent as were the facilities. This region and surroundings are so very different to what we were used to in the very far west of NSW.

My wife and son really enjoyed wandering around down near the river and further up the road past the camp, looking for parrots and the local Kookaburras.

Certainly a most memorable event.

Regards
Trevor

Looks like you pretty much covered the lot JJJ. The only additional picies I have are of the morning frost on my bike. :D

I was kinda hoping you didn't get the "shot" of me standing behind the 20". :( But that's life I guess.

But Geoff, they only wear them at night, and I would have been risking life and limb setting off the flash.
You were well represented though. Lot's of snuggly warm peeps.
