That got the blood flowing. Love the wheel height view, particularly over those steep drops - nerves of steel.

Oh yeh!Now I'm pumped.
That thing launches hard out of corners, very cool. I don't know about all the people on the side of the track.
Ok, I'm taking the 911 Carrera for a squirt this arvo. Thanx Bert

Tricky, both gravel and tarmac. He changed his style of attack well using power in short spurts on the gravel and letting it run out on the tarmac. Looks like a lot of fun.

Thx Bert..that's the most impressive Pikes Peak video I've seen.

There is this one as well...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJsHlugRls4

BTW the summit of Pikes Peak is 4302m (14115 ft) above sea level - nearly twice as high as Kosciusko and higher than NZ's Mt Cook. One of the fellows from astrofest said he tried to drive up Pike Peak and quit at 11500 feet elevation due to the effects of altitude!

Absolutely love Pikes Peak.

I did see a video a little while ago, think it was of Pikes peak.
It shows the driver taking one hand off the wheel, due to the sun in his eyes. Still driving and taking breathtaking corners at crazy speed.

Awesome track. Could battle the Isle Of Man TT and Bathurst for my Ultimate tracks.

EDIT: Thanks Bert for reminding me.
The wife is wanting another trip to the States around this time (Jun/July 2011) . She asked me what I wanted to see this time around.
Pikes Peak is on the list :D :D

It is one thing to have the best equipment. It then goes to a much higher plane when the best equipment is in the hands of a master practitioner. This is true for any human endeavour.

I would want a parachute before I would try it. And that is just to stand on the sidelines!
