second try with the Mintron some more detail this time with a lot of tuning of the controls, a lot more learning yet. all images are single shots taken from about 2 min of video with no processing.
The first two images were taken with the Zenithstar which l think shows the ability of these cameras and the third with the LX 200 at f/6.3.

Hi Mick

Great effort and you are right about the detail, each one is clealry visible and instantly recognisable. What kind of camera is the Mintron? Is it a webcam clone?

Thanks

Dennis

they are basically modified ultra sensitive surveillance cameras, mine has been modified and has both AV and USB outputs, on screen control display with hand held control box, unfortunetly there is very little information on set-up so it's completely trial and error at the moment.

Great start Mick. What focusing technique are you using?

:confuse3: focusing technique? l'm focusing on a television monitor and then capturing the video on to a DVD recorder, the large image on the screen really does aid with the focusing with no loss of image quality that l can see when downloaded to disc.
l then load the disc to the desk top computer through Powershot DVD which allows me to capture individual frames.
