Recently travelled to New Jersey/New York with work, here are a few snaps when I had some free time. Was my first time to USA and would love to go back again some day.
Lots more here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/22268856@N04/sets/72157624677795592/with/4870734783/) for anyone interested.
Thanks for viewing :)

Very nice Adam - Last time I was there was '89.
That view out to Liberty Island looks very strange without the 2 obvious towers.
Great images
Doug

ps...like the old ektachrome borders to the pics

+1.... Though great pics too. It creeps me out a bit not seeing the 2 big ones.
The last time I was there (in the city cbd), it was still smoldering/burning.
It's probably why pics like these pull at the heart.

Love some of the architecture ones. You need to do some HDR with those. The shadows are great.

What glass are you using with the 450D?

Thanks for the comments guys. To be honest (and I know I can be quite thick at times), it hadn't ocurred to me that the view out to the South was where the towers should have been, quite insensitive of me :( but that was my first time to NYC and was still pinching myself that I was actually there.
Lens used was the Tamron 18-270 Di-II, a nice all rounder. Kicking myself though that I left my CPL & tripod at home.

Adam. Your gallery is a regular Boys Own Manual - F4 Phantom, MIG17 and I think a Blue Angels Grumman F11f - stunning HDR...

Thanks Liz, I was lucky to get over there with work and have enough time to do a bit of sight seeing :)
Cheers Rowland, on the day I went over to Manhattan I thought "Hmm, that looks interesting" - I spent about two hours there as it's a full blown museum, not only millitaria but there was also a section devoted to the early Mercury space missions.
