This object is one of my favourite looking objects. I just love the colours in the field and often look at images of this target taken by other talented people.

This image probably needs a bit more time on it to make the image smoother, but for now I am happy with the look. I am planning a narrow field view of it too with the GSO RC. That image will most likely contain narrow band data too. This image is LRGB and the information can be found at the bottom of the page.

High contrast and nice colour Paul, ever so slightly odd in some way I cant say, the red is clipped, but top detail.

Colors are great, have to admit I'm jealous of the way the mono cameras capture the blue colors.
A closer examination shows good detail in 6559 which is the reflection neb , sh2-29 the emission looks good too, that sort of fluro pink (amazing the difference in colors of some emissions, the deep reds of the paw and lobster through to these flouro pinks here, must be primary and secondary emission lines blending, whereas the others perhaps don't have the energy to take them to that second level..... Perhaps someone can add to that)

Looking very nice

:eyepop: Super shot Paul. Amazing details. True you red channel is clipped but it's in the blacks. I couldn't even see it visually if I was looking for it. Top work.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Just amazing for a 102mm scope. Gotta love Tak scopes.

Nicely done and great colours.

Delightful object, coming from the UK to Australia I will have to learn all these gems. The GSO RC scope I did not think was all that good from independent tests but it really does seem to deliver results looking at your work.

This is not a GSO RC image John. This is an image from the Tak, but I am planning on doing a RC image of this region in the next year.

Thanks Gary. I like the saturation too. It just seems to work.

Been off line lately so missed this. A very striking image. Nice rich colour there Paul and lovely detail from your 102. This is a great rendition of this gorgeous patch of sky!:thumbsup:

Being picky, maybe just a smidgin too much contrast or maybe a bit black clipped(?) Consequently I think you've understated the faint refl neb in the dark lanes to the left of IC 1274. Ahh the joys of HDR processing!!

Cheers, Marcus

Have to agree Paul, nice work.
Rich saturated colours, love the golden stars.
It is a very interesting area for sure, there's something for every one in it.
