Another from the backyard using the AP180EDT f/9 with 0.75x telecompressor and CM10 camera using Custom Scientific 3nm [SII]/Ha/[OIII] filters

total of 5 hours exposure time

this target served as my inspiration for entering this hobby. I first shot it using this very palette in June of 2003. I had never seen an amateur image taken using this method at the time I took my image.

Here is that original shot from 2003 that sort of started a fundamental fork in the road for amateur CCD imaging: RGB vs Tricolor Emission Line

glad you liked it. That's the classic narrowband target..... it is the Hubble version that caused me to decide to take up astrophotography as a hobby....;)
