Milky way from SH2-54 to M24 in Halpha and ultra high resolution

here's one from the 300mm EDIF pentax 6x7 lens used with an Halpha filter (FLI Research Grade) and the Proline PL39000M camera. It is a total of 3 hours exposure (12x15minutes)

This was taken on Saturday night July 31, 2010 from my ranch in the California Sierra

the full resolution version is sort of fun. I hope to add more exposure time this coming weekend.

that's the plan.... I didn't say what filter but that's what I am planning to do.
