Driving home this afternoon held some promise of beautiful views of the snow from heavy falls last night. On cresting the first hill with a view, my hopes were briefly dashed. I was confronted with black, dark horrible clouds and subdued scenery......

Folks, I won't ask you to go to my site and read the rest of the story without first warning you that I speak my heart, and yes, I talk about God a bit.

I won't drown anyone in my belief here, (against TOS) but if you want to read it, I think it's a beautiful story (http://barryarmsteadphotography.webs.com/expeditionjournal.htm).

If you don't fancy that, it's cool dudes, here are the photos from the trip that I just HAD to share!

Agree - first one is very dramatic, particularly considering your description.

Thanks Troy! It fills me with joy to hear I am on the right track mate. My hope is that it might inspire others to venture out into the great outdoors to experience the overwhelming beauty!

Baz, really amazing pics and what a beautiful discriptive story. I spent some time on your website looking at all your pics and reading all the attached stories bar a couple. You describe things so beautifully and you capture some truly magnificient rugged beauty, you can see your photos speak from the heart... Humayan does it itoo.... it is amazing how you guys can capture the spirit of beauty encompassing emotion & real depth. When pics captivate me, I find myself staring at them for so long, just picturing myself within it, that's when I know the true power of a magnificent picture. Several of your shots did this to me Baz, and that one of the smelly creek - wow!
I have pm'd you the rest of my thoughts as they are christian based and I do not want to offend anyone here.

Kind regards,
Suzy.

Suzy, you are a gold nugget! If my future photos continue to invoke powerful and positive emotion in people, as far as I am concerned that is the greatest compliment a photographer can get!

Thank you for sharing your heart on it. :thanks:

We'll need a crane, a concrete saw and possibly a jackhammer. Plus, a 12 ton flatbed truck with a 21' tray on the back:):)
