Around a month or so ago there was a thread here on IceInSpace on the mixed bag of goodies near the northern part of Corona Australis which include Glob Ngc6723 and Ngc6726.

Pointed out then was the large dark structure there as well. This celebrated area is now covered in Sue French's 'Deep-Sky Wonders column in the Sept Sky and Telescope (North version). I hear people on the board discuss the Australian version of S&T and I would think that Sue French's great articles would be perhaps in that version as well (???)

So the article has quite a writeup as well as a wide field for the dark lane plus a closeup with the Ngc6726-6729, IC4812 (less obvious bright nebula) and of course Ngc6723 globular cluster.

Watch for it and clear skies everyone,
Mark

We do have articles by Sue in Australian Sky and Telescope, but also by Les Dalrymple (ngcles on this forum) and he covered this part of Corona Australis in his July column. 'Twas a very good article and motivated me to have another close look at this bit of sky (hence my notes posted on 16/7). It would be interesting to read Sue's take on it.

I picked up that Les wrote about his observations and he writes great observations and reports. Always a pleasure to read his posts on IceInSpace.

Guess it is fair to say: 'Les is More'

(I hope this is taken as a complement as it is intended)
