Unbelievable stuff. Unbelievable as in, this was taken through fairly heavy fog. I've never imaged in fog before & I simply don't get it, but the fog stabilized the jetstream.. All AVI's taken (2) just before the fog rolled in had to be deleted. Close inspection of a few frames in pre-fog & during revealed it went from a 4 to a 7/10. Even more unbelievable was the way I was on the gain slider on the fly, like Tony Iomi laying a riff down:eyepop::lol:

The fog was at least (guessing here) 1300-1500M above sea level & I had to give it away as it progressively got lower.

I don't get it, but I'll take it! :D

1700 stacked from 5500@60FPS.

C11/DBK/F23.

EDIT: Adding restack of 2300 frames.

Very nice work John, regardless of the dexterity involved with the gain slider the end result looks good. Might be an omen for the Astrofest, some good seeing on the way.

Great images John. Amazing story, I would not have thought it was possible. I wish it would work with thick cloud too.

Thanks guys. Apparently it's not abnormal for the seeing to steady, shooting through fog & dust. I guess I'll be praying for fog, REAL heavy dew, dust ANYTHING in the atmosphere from now on!:D:)

Thanks John Matt & Daniel, glad ya like it. Heres a sequence of a few successive AVI's. You can see the difference in seeing over the period as the fog thickened & thinned.
