Just taking this opportunity in 37°+ heat to say my Merry Christmas and thankyou to everyone who's been involved with IceInSpace over the past year.

Thank you's go out to:

- Terry (mojo) for helping with the development of IceInSpace. He's the quiet guy helping out in the background, and a good friend who's been a sounding board for my crazy brained ideas. One day he'll use the telescope he bought :)

- The moderators (John and Phil, and Geoff and Paul especially) for keeping the forum fairly free of spam and giving me their support.

- The generous people who have donated (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/?donate) money to keep the site up and running. Without your support the site may not still be here. Special thanks to Silvinator who has printed up hundreds and hundreds of IceInSpace stickers and a couple of hundred IISAC posters for me.

- The people who have written articles, reviews or have contributed other content for the main site. This side of the site will be my main focus in 2006. Let's get some of the great information discussed on the forum, into articles for people to read on the site.

- The sponsors who have donated prizes for the great competitions including the 1st birthday quiz, the snake valley raffle, the Xmas competition and the upcoming IISAC lucky door prize.

- The organising committee for IISAC who have been working hard with me in the background, especially h0ughy, Louie, Brendan, Ed, Narayan and Rod. It's shaping up to be a great event and I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone there!

- The Kulnura observing gang including Louie, John, Froggy, Andrew, Gazz, Narayan, Rod and others. Let's hope the weather is fine on the 1st Jan 2006!

- The great people and great friends I've met both online and in person over this last year.

- The loyal IceInSpace community for supporting me and the site over the past year. We're growing fast and going from strength to strength. It's your continual posting on the forums that keeps the site fresh, friendly and fun with lots of information and advice being passed around.

- Last but not least, to my family, icemanswife and my kids Jacob, Eliza and Abbey for putting up with and supporting my obsession :)

Apologies if I've forgotten anyone.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, have a safe holiday and see you all in 2006!

PS: I'm away from the 27th-31st and I've instructed the moderators to crack down hard on useless spam, so please don't go crazy like some of you did when I went to Victoria! :)

Thanks Mike, have a good one. It's amazing to see the friendships and particularly the standard of Astrophotography that have developed in this forum, (one that doesn't take it self too seriously) over the past year. As for the 37 degree heat it's 16 degrees and bucketting down here at the moment, Santa must have some serious Astro-goodies headed for Tas/Vic this year....:D

Washing my primary this early Christmas morn. Only time I can get exclusive access rights the laundry, kitchen and loungeroom. I've got scope bits everywhere. Moved the finder & telrad (twice! ), two-speed fan is rocking, and the Crayford is still sweet. Gotta clean up before Santa gets here. :scared:

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hi Team,
yes a wonderful forum, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it, and all that have contributed throughout the time I have been involved.
In my annual dress up, this is what I looked like for a flight yesterday.
Enjoy.

Merry Christmas everyone ...... Just logged in to see what Astro delights Santa may have delivered you this morning. I have lots of reading to do with Robert Geeves book "Introduction to Digital Astrophotography", and "Meteorites - A Journey through Space and Time". My knowledge can only improve!! if I can get away from my 3 grandsons long enough to get some quiet time would be great!! Hope you all have a great Christmas Day.
Regards
