Well the weather has'nt been the best this year for astronomy.I had a very small chance to test my Canon 50D and 17-55 F 2.8 lens,piggy back on a visiting astronomers' telescope about 6 weeks ago.

It was only a basic test,yes you can see the bit of his telescope in the frame,I planned to do a better shot the following night,but it was cloudy :(

Its 400 sec iso 500 17mm no guiding,no ICNR,just a basic test shot,

Theres data there, you just need to pull it out. try a touch of levels and curves for a starter.:thumbsup:

Nice shot, i'd like to see a smaller version. I don't agree that you have not pulled the data out there i think the image size has been upscaled to much after converting to Jpeg and the resolution has been lost, i'll bet the original image is fantastic on your screen, well done.
