Hi All,

Most of you may know me via my planetary images posted in forum. In fact, I love deep sky film imaging more than planet webcam imaging. But the sky condition in HK is so poor to have quality images. So as to have a good shooting on DSO, we need to go abroad. Taiwan is one of the place I frequently went there for DS film imaging.

Attached please find an old image of the great Orion nebula taken at the mountain top in Taiwan in the X'mas holiday of 2001. That is a single shot taken with 6" F5 Newtonian + Celestron coma corrector + Kodak E200 slide for 45 minutes. Very simple processing with Level, Curve and Brightness/Contrast in PS.

I think that is a right time to greet you in this coming X'mas season with this Orion.

Merry X'mas and Happy New Year.

Best seasons,

LT

Hello, William

Another alchemist at heart! I too love the way film captures the beauty of fine objects such as M42. The "Running Man" nebula is very prominent in your photo too - great job.

Cheers

Dennis
