Hi all, Theophilus is the top crater with diameter of 100kms and central peaks that rise to 1400 metres. Below it is Cyrillus with diameter of 98 kms. At the bottom is Catherina, also with diameter of 100kms and walls that rise to 3130 metres.

The first image taken 17th July and the second 25 hours later, 18th July.

Hi Lester

Nice images in their own right. Quite an interesting comparison in differing illumination conditions. So much more contrast with the lower sun angle, although I was surprised at the extent of the difference in only 1 day.

Cheers

Dennis

Both top images Lester and an interesting example of just how much change occurs in such a short time.

Very nice images Lester, and fascinating, I too wouldn't have expected such a big change in only one day.
Seems like it must then be possible to take images near the terminator for several hours and assemble a movie showing some changes. That would be very interesting to try.

Nice shots Lester. Its no wonder we hunt the terminator. I'd be interested to see another shot for the same phase this month to see how they compare
