Sorry about leaking shots out bit by bit - still trying to unpack, get into overdue work, etc etc. Lots more to come... ;)
Here's an animation of the first Diamond Ring. The light cloud in the first few frames is the only cloud we saw around totality. The 'diamond' was a stunner, and lasted an incredibly long time. All details are in the clip, hope you enjoy! Warning: usual YouTube upload quality!

Great work Rob! It must have been awesome to see it.
The animation gives a good sense of being there (for me at least :)).

Thanks all! Here's an eclipse composite - partial phases shot using Baader AstroSolar Safety Film filter; all shots Canon 400D on tripod, 200mm in 55-200mm Sigma lens, 1/2000 sec, ISO 400, F/9
Here's a link to the full-size (840KB):

Still working on a corona shot, but my 'layer-masking' skills aren't quite up to it! :P

Great composite, Rob - let's see that corona shot included. Did you get the diamond ring each side - I thought that you did.
Bit of sunspot activity captured as well?
Funny Ecliptic path that day? Probably rocking of the ship :D

Thanks guys!
 I ain't posting my corona fiascos Eric! Luckily Haesey has offered to help. Didn't capture the exiting 'diamond ring' - by that stage I think I was utterly transfixed, and probably dribbling onto the deck! :P
The sunspots (AR #1087) are there, but pretty small at this scale.

Spectacular! Thanks Rob. Must have been very hard to get all these shots when all you would want to do is look at take it all in.

Thanks Trevor, Michael!
Not hard at all Michael, pure luck! On the ship, they did have eclipse photography (and viewing) tutorials in the days leading up to the eclipse, but it all seemed to make the event overly complicated so I stayed away from them.
Like I said in the other thread, when the first diamond ring was imminent (you could tell by the sky, and by the buzz in the crowd), I whipped the filter off the camera & just kept shooting using a wireless remote, with the same settings! The only time I looked at the camera (on tripod) was a couple of times to change the exposure setting, and a couple of times to check that the eclipsed sun was somewhere within the FOV. :screwy:

Thanks fellas! Here's my last, the solar corona. Have to thank Paul Haese for processing this, and getting the most out of limited data!

Very nice image Rob with good coronal detail. An EXCELLENT result from a shipboard observation.
On my only eclipse observation afloat there was a large swell and slow exposures were not possible. So I was not able to put together a corona image.
