Definitely got a style about them, almost studio-like quality and poses. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome imagery.

I like the way he mentions that he doesn't use telephoto lenses and most of his images are taken from a few feet away.

Very brave indeed.

Some absolutely stunning images. The vegetation in some images looks similar to shooting without an IR filter.

Thanks to the link to an absolutely extraordinary portfolio which I thoroughly
enjoyed looking at!

What a talented photographer.

Having driven across the salt bed of Ambsolei and the savannah of Masai Mara and
having been lucky enough to see animals up close like this, these images also
personally bring back fond memories of one of my favorite corners of the Earth.

Africa gets into one's blood and the sight of elephant's dusting themselves down
whilst the sun sets with Kiliminjaro as the backdrop is an unforgettable experience.

Seeing elephants in zoos, even those with larger enclosures, one can get the
mistaken impression that these are rather sedentary animals. In the wild, they
are nearly constantly on the move and very active and Nick Brandt's shots of
them in the context of these landscapes beautifully captures this sense of constant
motion across vast areas.

These photos, for me, also give a sense of the overall quietness of these landscapes,
albeit for the buffeting of the wind and the footfall of the animals on the compacted
ground as they pass by.

Many people I speak to dream of one day visiting Africa and seeing animals
in the wild such as this. I recommend to pack your bag and camera and go.
One can fly Perth to Nairobi via Mauritius with a brief stop at Madagascar on the way.
