Last night I also managed to capture 1.5 Hrs of OIII data in 10 minute subs which will be added to the original Ha data captured last week. With any luck I will capture a couple of hours of SII tonight and see if I can make a half decent image.

Very nice Doug. It takes on quite a different look in OIII.
Looking forward to seeing the completed image.

This image will give some idea of the difference in the FOV of the 11002 and the 8300 CCD's through the FSQ106ED. I was shocked at the huge increase and even more shocked at the ability of the bigger pixels to resolve detail.
The red FOV is the Atik 11002M and the yellow is the 8300 CCD centered on this image field.

Yep, you'll be able to fit a lot of things in that FOV...and then you can do numerous crops (like I do) out of the massive FOV just to annoy microscope Fred (Like I also do)

See, the 11k is a huge improvement (well, in FOV, if you like that kind of thing  :D). Nice gear. And nice pic, the curving looks good.

Great shot Doug. Love the color blend. I had a similar one in the compendium. Ha/Oiii works really well for those red nebulae. You should try it on M16 with success.

The synthetic RGB image is lovely Doug - it's got real depth and texture to it.
