Hi all

It has been over a month since I imaged the Sun - work etc.

This active region (AR 1084) had quite a distinct spiral appearance yesterday but not as obvious in my image today. It is the first time I have seen anything like this on the Sun.
It is good to see a strong sunspot with the dark centre and lighter outer region - making a great target for the solar folk.

Lunt60, H-alpha scope, 2.5 Powermate, DMK31 and processed in Registax5.

Thanks for looking!

It has been a while, I've missed your images of things that I've been looking at. I've really enjoyed looking at this particular sunspot - as you say with such spirals and so dark. Very nice image Matt and much appreciated.

Very nice resolution there Matt, looks like a hole in the Sun, might be rabbits up there;)
