These small and quite hawks have been feeding on insects in the tree tops.
I took a few photos of them,This one is on the final approach to grab a insect.

Seriously wow!! I'd love to take shots like that. Could you share some details of how you took it? (lens, ISO, shutter speed, handheld/tripod, focussing)

Thanks Andrew and David.
The kit used was Canon 450D with 400 mm L prime lens at F5.6 iso400
,speed 1600 , hand held.
I have a few more in this series that I will post later.
I took over 120 frames that day,and have 5 or 6 good one,this was one of those,posssibly the best.
Been in CS 5 -'black' adjustment,some contrast,and sharpen.but not much.

Nicely caught in the act Chris.
The joy of digital cameras...roll off a couple of hundred shots & keep a handful of them without a second thought.
Imagine the cost of doing that with film! :eyepop:

Fabulous capture!
We see these here in the Kuring-Gai Chase National Park in the northern
outskirts of Sydney, more so during the warmer months. Between their own calls
and the warning calls of other birds that seem to take exception to their
presence, you certainly know when they are about.
