Cool! I would rather spend my time reading than deciphering LOL!

As far as Christmas traditions go (not wierd, but a tradition nonetheless): Me and the kids all tromp into the bush to select and cut down our own Christmas tree. It's handy living in the country as it only takes about a 1 minute drive to hit the bush.

No-one minds how many people hack down pine trees out here as they are a nuisance and the farmers would love to get rid of all of them. The have spread from the Pine plantations and they kill the surrounding grazing land. And on Crown land they are slowly taking up valuable native bushland.

So our family tradition is safe for a long long time. I have been doing this my whole life. When I was a little tacker my parents use to take us into the bush around the back of Seven Hills, Toongabbie and Prospect looking for the right tree. Yes, Seven Hills, Toongabbie & Prospect were bush back then! This year is my 48th trek into Christmas tree hunting and my kids love it!!! They get to pick the tree! And it's a fun day out together (which is fun in itself).

Our tradition is to ignore xmas but enjoy the time off! Mmmm... Sacrelicious. :wink2:

This year, for the first time ever, I get 10 days off from work!! 24-Dec-2005 to 2-Jan-2006 inclusive! I plan to make the most of it, and astronomy is going to be #1 on the agenda again this year. :D

Last year's xmas night was the night when I first saw Saturn through a poor quality telescope and I was glued to the eyepiece for hours watching what I now consider to be a blurry image not worth bothering with. But at the time I was amazed, and, as a result, I was hooked. :astron:

Watching National Lampoons Cristmas Vacation has become one of my traditions over the festive season. I usually check out when it is on (Christmas night here in Brisvegas this year) and I never miss it - even though I've seen it so many times.
