Hello to all.....This is my first time to your forum and thought I'd post a recent picture of M27 that I thought turned out well. Would appreciate any comments.....George

Welcome to IIS George :hi:
Looks like you're off to a flying start, your stars are nicely round so you're already doing better than me.
Was it a single 5 min exposure or multiple subs, any dark frames taken?
Looking good for 5 mins worth, adding more time will remove that graininess but already some nice detail coming through.
The blue should be a little greener perhaps, Teal I think they call it but colour names are secret womens business so I won't say any more. ;)
Great work, keep at it.
Justin.

Hi Justin....Thanks for your note. Yes, this was a single 300 second exposure with one dark frame and processed in the SBIG CCDops program. The camera is still new to me and I'm just getting a feel for what it can do. Taking multiple subs and stacking them is next on the list.....I was just impressed with what could be done witha single shot. Thanks again....George
