A really quick couple - I barely had time to set up the mount and scope.
Tak Sky-90, G-11 and 40D
Eclipse light is particularly challenging to photograph in comparison to that of a regular waxing or waning moon.

Nice one Chris!
Forecast was for clouds here tonight, so I didn't plan anything for the eclipse... then when it was clear I was so excited by the opportunity to finally get my mount accurately polar aligned after some mods and delays that I was doing that until the eclipse was 1/2 over.
I got Lyn and the girls out for a look when I remembered it was on though.
Al.
Nice photo Chris.

Sure is a great image Chris.
The first one looked great large.
Are you still shivering because it was so cold out west here (5c is way to cold for me) that it must of been cold over there.
Cheers Kev.

Thanks Petra, Mick & Kev :)
Kev - it was 0.5C later in the night, but it was petty cool at the scope for the time I was capturing this. I has a t-shirt on with a long sleeve shirt over that, so I was feeling a bit chilly. I should have had a beanie on.

Thanks David & Trevor :) Yeah David, I didn't find it too easy given that I haven't used either the Sky-90 or 40D for lunar before. I miss my FS-102 with it's 822mm focal length. It was perfect for the moon, the Sky-90 in not.
:thumbsup::thumbsup: nice one Chris :)

David, you've a great (and mean GREAT) lunar scope in the FS-102. Hopefully I'll clear my divorce mess up soon and buy the TSA-120 that I had planned since I sold you my old fave. LOL!! One day...

Chris,
Both of those shots are fantastic. Love 'em.
I reckon, though, that you could punch the contrast up just a notch and mask it to the right side (obviously) to give it just a touch of depth.
Both great, as is, anyway!
