Beautiful image Paolo, particularly given the short sub-frames and an excellent target. This is where I envy our Northern Hemisphere friends...I guess I will have to stick with the Running Man nebula.

That's a great image, well done. You have captured the dust very well, it almost has a 3D look to it. Thanks for sharing!

That's a lovely image Paolo, what stunning object.
Agree the 3D effect is coming through especially in the lower dust cloud.
So what NGC/IC designation does this object have?
Would love to try a capture if I can.

It has the designation NGC 7023 and can be found in the constellation Cepheus...even for you guys in the top end it would be difficult if not impossible to capture.

Yep just found it, at +68 deg that puts it 10 deg above the horizon...just a little low.
Thanks hans.

Yes I agree with all the comments - great image! Unfortunately at +68 deg that puts it about 10 deg below my horizon, which causes even worse problems than atmospheric extinction I believe  ;)

Well done. Magnificent object. The colors from blue to dark brown remind me of M78 in orion. This brown dust must be quite a challenge to capture.
