Hi.
This is Sirius. (Not fishing for compliments...but feel free to bag it, lol)
I just want to know one thing...is this the pup at 1 o'clock??
Not sure what magnification I'm at but it's a F8 6" refractor + diagonal + 2X barlow + 280mm of extension tube with a toucam hanging out the end of it in that order.
I would have thought the pup would be a lot closer to the 'parent'. If it's not the pup, then what star is this close to sirius?
Thanks all.
hey, thats better than the hubble one!!! on ya asi :)

Looks like the pup to me. I have seen it in that position before.

If it is Asimov you've done well as pup is only around 4.6 arc sec from Sirus A. To compare the separation for the Rigel double is 9.5 arc sec ("Cambridge Star Atlas")

I could easily split Eta Orionis the previous night which was the tightest group while doing a tour of doubles . Etas componets are seperasted by 1.7 arc seconds but both are nearly of equal brightness , Rigel with a seperation of 9.4 would appear to be fairly easy in comparsion but the bright primary at 0.3 mag dominates the fainter 6.8 secondary . With Sirius at a intense -1.46 mag and companion at a mag 8.5 its a tough task sighting it visually , i had no luck :P . Nice work there John :)
Very Nice John !!!
I like the pattern around Sirius too.
Thanks for that.
