I am really not doing this one justice. I bought it a few months ago just about a week or two after I had decided to give the hobby up, but it was too good to pass on. The strange thing is even though I bought it for visual, became quite engaged in imaging with my FS60CB. Don't quite understand the logic there…

Anyway, it is in fair condition, with the blemishes it came with being some worn-out paint under the tube clamp, a slot cut into one of the objective screws - not all the way in but just enough to adjust with a screwdriver, and the odd minor mark on the optics. I have tried to capture these, but they are difficult to show (the optical marks, not the tube blemishes).

Since I have had it, it has not been mounted and was sitting on a couple of cushions until a month or so ago when I noticed that there was some staining the same colour as the cushions. It is only cosmetic but still noticeable, which is why I am lowering the price a bit.

My reason for selling is that I will not get around to doing what I want I originally wanted to do (get the tube re-powder-coated, swap the pinion for a Moonlight & put it on a Panoramic mount) for a long time as I have other stuff on and my interest in visual astronomy is at a pretty low ebb. It should be used & enjoyed instead of sitting next to my couch.

It will come with an extension tube, a 2" diagonal with 1.25" adapter, and tube clamp, all original Televue issue. Also included will be a Kedrick white-light solar filter and an adapter for a 50mm Ha filter.

$700 inc post or $650 pickup. Pick up offers (if there are any) preferred.

WooooW...
That's a helva good price for a "tired" Genesis!!!!
If I was back in Oz it would be bought within minutes!!!
A flourite 4 element f5!
(I already have one s/n 1007, but at that price I'd buy another)

Must confess I just trusted my instincts on buying this sight unseen!
Checked with SWMBO and jumped in!
Happy to know I've made a good move for once!
Over time I'll get the eyepieces to compliment it.

Cheers:thumbsup:
