my first helix and eagle nebs taken on the 20/06/10 with 70% moon.
around 2hr of 10 min subs, by qhy8 and guided through 127mm ed retractor.
processing tips will be most useful.

Two very tidy shots Les. Superb tracking and focus. One thing you need to do is flat fielding. Other than that more data to kill the noise and you're well on your way. Top work. :thumbsup:

field flattener? i have heard of them but never used them how does this effect my images?

:lol: No flat fielding as in flats. You need to calibrate your subs for uneven illumination and dust motes removal. Then you can push your data harder. Your field is very good as it is. :thumbsup:

Yes, you need to take Flats. The quality of your images will be improved considerably.
I've a light box that I had made for my ed80. You're welcome to have a look at it. It wouldn't take you long to knock one up for yourself.

Another suggestion....try giving the camera a clean to get rid of as many dust bunnies as you can. That'll help. Any left can be taken care of by flat fielding, as Marc said.
