Hi All,

This is my first post here.
I took this photo near Buenos Aires, Argentina. It shows the Eta Carina Nebula and surroundings. Is that an Iridium flare I got ?

It's a single shot at ISO3200, next time I plan to do some stacking using DSS. Do you have any stacking strategy recommendations for shots like this one? How many frames? How many darks? etc ? Thanks for your help!

I shoot from a tripod without tracking, I use a micrometric tripod head and move the camera every few shots to keep the main object centered.

Cheers!

Welcome Luigi and good work.
Suggest about a dozen lights to stack and 5 or more darks.

DSS does have a cosmetic function that removes noise quite well even without dark frames (use 1% and 1 pix in the settings)
cheers

Hi Luigi, Welcome, nice image:).
Depending on how long you took the image for,but to me it seems a little straight for an iridium Satellite:question:
Iridium satellites usually flair, but you could have caught after it flaired:thumbsup:
