Botanic Garden snaps from Monday

Took the family out to the Sydney Botanical Gardens on Monday arvo. A couple of ordinary looking macros, not sure if that's some sort of hover fly. A water lilly and water feature reflections (HDR).

Nice shots – good to see that there are still a few insects around during the winter months. The Hover fly in-flight photos are terrific; I love the light on the wings.

Cheers Dennis, was tricky as I was shooting into the sun on those and just couldn't get the focus right.

Use a macro Adam? I liked the first one of the fly. The flower - possibly need to fill the frame a bit more with the bloom, but nice. Did not know what to think of the 4th shot.
